SPIRIT OF COUNSEL
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;" (Isaiah 11:2 KJV)
You learnt from our previous teachings that you possess the spirit of wisdom and understanding. In addition,you have the Spirit of counsel in you. The Spirit of counsel is the supernatural ability for direction or helpful suggestions regarding a decision or future course of action. The Holy Spirit is also referred to as 'The Counsellor' and He dwells in you to give you direction in all your affairs. The Holy Spirit is the best counsellor in the world.
"And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:21 AMP)
In the old testament,they were counselled by the Spirit outside or behind but in the new testament you hear it from the inside. You have the Holy Spirit within, therefore the spirit of counsel is at work in you. That is why the Spirit led you in the right direction,
"For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." (Romans 8:14 AMP)
Be led by the spirit of counsel at all times for you Multiple Celebration.
You cannot be confused in life when the spirit of counsel is in you! Allow the Holy Spirit lead and guide you in all your ways. Do not embark on anything without divine direction,
"Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track." (Proverbs 3:6 MSG) Listen to the voice of the Spirit in everything you do. Acknowledge Him as your director and instructor. Many Christians are in the habit of seeking counsel elsewhere instead of harnessing the opportunity of having the Spirit of counsel and thereby invoke curses upon themselves .
"WOE TO the rebellious children, says the Lord, who take counsel and carry out a plan, but not Mine, and who make a league and pour out a drink offering, but not of My Spirit, thus adding sin to sin;" (Isaiah 30:1 AMP).
No matter how intelligent any counsellor may be, make sure you weigh his/her counsel beside what the Spirit of counsel says. The more you use the ministry of counsel in the Holy Ghost the more your life in the Spirit will grow into greener pasture.
"He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake." (Psalm 23:2, 3 AMP).
Your comfort and celebration is in His counsel. You must Celebrate!

Start listening and seek direction from the Holy Spirit even in the simple things of life as you begin to depend on Him for counsel in bigger decisions.
