PRAISE SHOWS YOU ARE GOOD!

TONIGHT'S SCRIPTURE."A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things." (Matthew 12:35 KJV)

Praise is a sign that you have good treasure in you! Your salvation makes you possess good treasures in your heart and that is the fountain of good praises. One of the good things from your heart to God is your praises to Him. When you do not live a praise filled life ,it makes you look evil. The scripture above says,

"A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things." Be grateful because you have good treasure in you,it is God's nature! As soon as you have that understanding,being good becomes your nature. The Bible says,
"Hallelujah! It's a good thing to sing praise to our God; praise is beautiful, praise is fitting." (Psalm 147:1 MSG).
Praising God is beautiful and befitting to your destiny . Every praise to God is saying "God is good all the time, all the time God is good"

"For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor,splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly." (Psalm 84:11 AMP).

There is no better way to walk uprightly in God than to live a praise filled life at all times. Praise makes you upright in God and when that happens He becomes your sun. Therefore,He makes you outstanding in all that you do. In addition,He will be your shield of safety. Praises make you dwell in the secret place of the most high and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Then grace ie unmerited favour begins to follow you everywhere you go. Above all you share His glory ie honour,splendour, and heavenly bliss. Another reason why praising God is good is the fact that it brings good to you and your loved ones.

Life is meaningless without the goodness of the Lord. Seek Him with praise and the good will follow you.
"Acquaint now yourself with Him [agree with God and show yourself to be conformed to His will] and be at peace; by that [you shall prosper and great] good shall come to you." (Job 22:21 AMP).

Praises make you God's acquaintance which is in agreement with His will, when that happens prosperity and goods will follow you.

Tonight's Prayer.
Father you are good, praising you is good and so I have chosen to see good all the days of my life in Jesus name. Praise the Lord!

PRAISE BRINGS OUT YOUR BEST!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE"Sing songs to God, sing out! Sing to our King, sing praise! He's Lord over earth, so sing your best songs to God." (Psalm 47:6, 7 MSG).

With God on your side your best days are yet to come! Praise brings out the best of any situation or circumstance. If you desire excellence in whatever you do,you must sing the best praises to God. Your present state is not your best, do not allow anything limit your destiny. Everything that has a beginning surely has an end. For surely there is an end and the expectation of the just shall not be cut short. Whatever cannot cut short your praises to God cannot limit your future. That ugly situation will soon be over,that pain and lack will not last fore ever. The darkest time in your life is just before the break of dawn.

Your praise to God is your password for better and best days. Praises are an expression of faith and faith is the key to moving mountains out of your way. Whatever you saw in the past is in the past, do not give up or give in!God is faithful! Your future is beautiful and bright. When you make praise a lifestyle your future will be better than your past !

"The ways of right-living people glow with light; the longer they live, the brighter they shine." (Proverbs 4:18 MSG)
Wow!Praising God makes you live right! As you worship Him you will glow with His light. Hallelujah! Let your praise to God be top priority with a perfect understanding that your best days are ahead. You will shine brighter as you praise better! When you live a praise filled life you are saying "I am the best that God has ever made,there is more to me that meets the eye" When the devil expects you to cry lift you hands and shout hallelujah!

Be the best in praises and you will stand out anywhere you are. David became the best in His time and God called Him a man after His heart because of praises. Paul and Silas stood out as the best in prison because they praised and worshipped God in their darkest moments.

Jesus became the best in the wilderness when He praised God and fed five thousand men(women and children not counted) with five loaves of bread and two fish. He also outshone death when Lazarus rose up from the dead due to praise. Everything you praise God for becomes the best. Your best is yet to come, praise Him for the manifestation. The earnest expectation of creation awaits your manifestation because you are the son of God. You cannot disappoint God,you are the best. Praise the Lord and be the best!

Today's Response.
In what area of your life do you want to be the best today? Organise a powerful praise to God for it. You are the best, praise the Lord!.

PRAISE GOD WITH HOSPITALITY!

"Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (1 Peter 4:9-11 KJV)

Praising God is not limited to worship. clapping, singing and dancing. Being hospitable is a way of praising God. When you attend to the needs of others, in return God attends to your needs.

Hospitality is being favourably disposed to treating others in a cordial and generous manner. Hospitality is an act of open mindedness! The scripture above commands us as believers to be hospitable to one another without complaining. I like the Message Bible translation of this verse
"Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless-cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it:"

Hospitality is giving food to the hungry, a bed to the homeless and welcoming a stranger with open hands. When you are generous to people God sees it as an act of praise. Remember that praise attracts blessings,therefore your being hospitable makes you a candidate for blessings. As God's oracle and minister,it is expected that everything you do should be as unto the Lord. The last part of our opening scripture says, when you are hospitable in all things,God will be glorified through Jesus Christ and your hospitality will bring praises and dominion to God for ever and ever.

Remember the story of Lazarus where praise and thanksgiving brought Lazarus back to life. Another woman named Dorcas came back to life by simply praising God through hospitality.
"And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up." (Acts 9:37, 39, 40 KJV).

The way the Lord Jesus lifted up His eyes at Lazarus tomb was the same way the things Dorcas gave in hospitality were lifted up for her restoration. The Bible says, Peter put forth those gifts to give God reasons why she should live.

Hospitality is an act of praise and praise has power over untimely death. Every act of hospitality preserves you and all that belongs to you. Henceforth include hospitality as part of your praise and worship unto God. Be kind hearted to those around you and be generous to all men.

PRAISE IS GOOD WARFARE!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;" (1 Timothy 1:18 KJV)

Praises is good warfare! Many christians are ignorant of this revelation and are living in bondage as a result of ignorance . Each time I see people in this kind of situation struggling in the name of spiritual warfare I keep wishing they will just open their eyes and see what the Lord has done.

You are more than a conqueror!Imagine a battle that does not require your fighting and all you need is walk into the battle field with praises and watch your enemies fall at your feet in defeat as a result of your praises. Jesus finished the battle on the cross where He shed His blood to defeat the adversary the devil.

Israel had this kind of good warfare in the old testament.
"And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much. (2 Chronicles 20:22, 25 KJV)

Hallelujah! Can you imagine walking into a battle front and after praising God take enormous overflowing riches as spoils of war? That indeed is good warfare!

In the opening scripture, Apostle Paul's charge for the good warfare is based on
"the prophecies which went before on thee...."

Your praise as good warfare is warfare built on prophecies! That battle of praises Israel went for was a product of a prophecy where God said they will not need to fight in the battle. The instruction was that they should believe the Lord God and be established, believe His prophet to prosper.(2Chronicles20:20).
Immediately,they appointed singers instead of soldiers. Good warfare is based on the word of God,
"We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:" (2 Peter 1:19 KJV)

The good warfare is based on the word of God and prophecy that has gone ahead of you. A praise warfare begins with knowing that there are prophecies in place concerning every spiritual warfare you face in life. Do not fight like someone beating the air. Be wise,find out what the word of God says concerning your situation and use it for praise. Let your praise be built on the sure word of prophecy and you can be sure of a victorious good warfare.

Find scriptures about the situation you are faced with and use it to praise God. That is good warfare. Praise the Lord!

ACCEPTABLE PRAISES!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13 AMP).

Not every praise is acceptable before God! Some people just sing for the fun of it and do not connect in their spirit unto the Lord. You can sing, clap, shout,lift your hands and even dance without actually praising God. The motive behind your praise determines its acceptance before God or otherwise.

Praising God requires genuineness. It should be heartfelt. If your heart is not involved you are not qualified to praise God. This is the only condition under which you are permitted to praise God and this is what make praises acceptable before God. When your praise is acceptable before God your life and destiny becomes colourful and outstanding before men.

Like Hannah said,
" Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed." (1 Samuel 2:3 KJV)

He is a God of knowledge, you cannot deceive Him with mere praises. He weighs every clap,shout, song and all actions in praise before they are acceptable for blessings. God is more concerned about your heart than the fruit of your lips. He is more concerned with the state of your heart before rewarding the praise in your mouth. Therefore your heart must be in alignment with your mouth for your praise to become acceptable to Him.

God is not mocked, whatever you sow determines your harvest. If your praise is un-serious you will receive nothing from God. The state of your heart as you praise Him determines His response to you. When you praise Him with all your heart, your praise will be acceptable before Him. If you want results from your praise experience make sure your heart is genuinely involved in your praises. Whenever you praise Him from the bottom of your heart, you compel His presence and when God arises all the enemies will be scattered.

Go out today and begin to prepare your heart for proper and acceptable praises to God. Connect yourself to God in high praises of thanksgiving from your heart and see the glory of His presence.

Today's Prayer.
Father, henceforth I will seek you with all of my heart and my soul in praise and worship in Jesus name. Praise God!

SPREAD HIS PRAISES!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."Write this down for the next generation so people not yet born will praise God: Write it so the story can be told in Zion, so God's praise will be sung in Jerusalem's streets And wherever people gather together along with their rulers to worship him." (Psalm 102:18, 21, 22 MSG)

Every testimony is a form of praise to God! God delights in testimonies! God loves it when you testify of His goodness and mercy. Remember the parable of the ten lepers,when the leper came back to show appreciation to Jesus after his healing,
"Then Jesus asked, Were not [all] ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was there no one found to return and to recognize and give thanks and praise to God except this alien?" (Luke 17:17, 18 AMP)

Someone recently pasted the testimony of a couple who were blessed with a miracle baby after forty years of marriage on facebook. I sang praises to our faithful God throughout that day and thanked Him because with him nothing is impossible.

In our opening scripture, the Bible says we should write our testimony down for the next generation, even for the unborn children to be able to praise God with it. Spread the good work of God wherever you go,when you hear good news upload and broadcast it.

The scripture says praise will be sung in streets when you share great testimonies around the nations of the world. When you become praise singers of God's goodness and wonders He will make you great on earth.
"The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it." (Psalm 68:11 KJV)

When you give praise worthy testimonies you automatically provoke the power of greatness in your life. When you hear testimonies of God's great acts,tell others about it. He said if I am lifted up on earth I will draw men on to myself. You cannot spread His praise and not stand out! Never allow any great testimonies end with you. Give attention to spread all His signs and wonders you hear about.

"And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" (Romans 10:15 KJV).

Preach the gospel in praises and your life will become beautiful,a sign and wonder to many.

Today's Response.
Paste a testimony of praise and thanksgiving that you think others deserve to hear in order to boost their praise life. Make sure you paste it on your wall. Praise the Lord!

ENEMY OF PRAISES!

TONIGHT'S SCRIPTURE."he entered the town. Eli was sitting on his stool beside the road keeping vigil, for he was extremely worried about the Chest of God. When the man ran straight into town to tell the bad news, everyone wept. (1 Samuel 4:13 MSG)

There are different enemies of praise but one major one is spreading bad news!You do not give God glory when you are a bearer of evil news. As praise instruments you must make a habit of telling people things that bring praise and thanksgiving. Make a habit of "carrying the child out of the bowl and throwing the dirty water away."

In our opening scripture,a man came from the war front where Israel had just lost the battle. The ark of covenant had been taken and the two sons of prophet Eli died. He gave an evil report without wisdom and the first thing the the evil report did was bring sorrow and pain,"everyone wept". Weeping does not give glory to God. Secondly it caused Eli's death, a pregnant woman was forced into labour and died at delivery,the baby she gave birth to was called I-chabod,

"And she named the child I–chabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband. And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken. (1 Samuel 4:21, 22 KJV)

God does not take glory in bad news, every bad news gives the impression that His glory has departed. You are a gospel carrier, good news should be your heritage. Satanic news instils fear in the hearer, just as faith comes by hearing fear also comes by hearing.

Can you imagine the effect of that evil report in the opening scripture? Some years ago a brother went to be with the Lord in my home church. The way and manner our senior pastor broke the news was so mature that instead of weeping,we started praising God. The devil would have been so disappointed because we obeyed the scripture "in everything give thanks."

Avoid gatherings where evil news is celebrated because it is an enemy of praise. Do not broadcast evil news on social networking sites like Facebook ,twitter etc. Neither should you send them as text messages or e-mails. Instead ,spread the goodness of the victory in Christ Jesus. Go tell it on the mountains, over the hills and everywhere that Jesus is Lord!

Today's Prayer.
Father in Jesus name, henceforth I will be a carrier of good news. Never again will I spread bad news in Jesus name. Praise the Lord.

 PRAISE WITH UNDERSTANDING!

TODAY'S DEVOTION."Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding." (Psalm 47:6, 7 KJV)

Praise and worship is not just an interlude that preceeds the preacher in church services but the main reason why we attend these services. Many believers are ignorant hence they do not enjoy the fullness of Gods blessings. Understanding is a principle of benefit in God's kingdom. Whatever you do in ignorance will definitely not yield profit. No wonder God said, my people are destroyed for lack knowledge. Many people wonder why they praise God and their expectations are not met. Whatever you do not understand cannot work for you. As powerful as the word of God is it will mean nothing without understanding.

Apostle Philip asked the Eunuch of Ethiopia who was reading the Bible if He understood what he was reading.
"Running up alongside, Philip heard the eunuch reading Isaiah and asked, "Do you understand what you're reading?" He answered, "How can I without some help?" and invited Philip into the chariot with him. (Acts 8:30, 31 MSG)

You cannot praise God with understanding and your mind will not be enlightened. Since the beginning of this month I have taken time to explore and get a perfect understanding of the knowlege revealed by the spirit. I intend to continue with this exposition on the power of praises till the end of the year.

Many believers are praising God without understanding and that explains why it does not yield increase in their lives. You must understand that praising God is not the same thing as just having fun, but obeying a heavenly commandment.

Praise makes you a lion that cannot be stopped in spiritual combats. God inhabits praises according to `psalm 22:3. When you are faced with the storms of life,you can overcome by switching to praise. The walls of Jericho fell flat because of praises. In situations where you do not know what else to do, just sing praises with understanding unto the Lord. You will not need to fight anymore because in sincere praise He steps into your situation and all your enemies are scattered.
"Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard." (Proverbs 13:15 KJV).
The good and favour of praises is based on good understanding. The more you understand the power of praises the more you enjoy favour on every side.

History and how to celebrate Christmas

My son, give me thine heart…”- Proverbs 23 vs. 26

Christmas is a season of gifts, exchanged between friends, associates and relations. The greatest all year shopping takes place at Christmas. Shopping malls, boutiques and markets all record high sales in the days preceding Christmas day.

Millions of people throng shops and stores looking for Christmas gifts to present to others.

As you are preparing to give gifts to your friends, are you also planning to present a gift to God? Have you forgotten God is one of your friends, and also expects a gift from you? Surprising people seem to forget God in their planning and calculations. If you have given or received Christmas gifts this year, but have not yet factored God in your planning it is not too late.

God expects a Christmas gift form us. The Bible says that we are created in the image of God; therefore God has passions and emotions such as we do. What are you planning to give God this year? If you have not planned on this, this is the moment to start planning.

Do not be surprised to know that God is also expecting a Christmas gift from you and me. The scriptures quoted above gifts us an idea of the nature of gift God expects from you and me. There is only one gift that God is expecting from you and that is your heart!

How do you give God your heart? 
1. You give God your heart by obeying his commandments and living by his laws.
2. You give God your heart by serving him with all your strength, power and might.
3. You give God your heart by running away from every appearance of sin such as adultery, fornication, pornography, drug addiction, greed, and covetousness.
4. You give God your heart by joining a local church, worshipping and serving God with other Christians.
5. You give God your heart by placing his matters first above all other things.
6. You give God your heart by reading the Holy Bible and meditating on its contents day and night.
7. You give God your heart by not embarking on any course of action without informing him and seeking his advice.
8. You give God you heart by discussing your plans and anxieties with him in prayers.
9. You give God your heart by refraining from joining or withdrawing your membership of any worldly, satanic and occult association.
10. You give God your heart by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and inviting the Holy Spirit to guide and rule your life.
This Christmas Season, God expects a gift from you. Give God your heart today and make him happy. If you can only do this, he will give you several other gifts you do not expect. Are you ready to give God your heart now? Then say this simple prayer.

Father God, I come before you as a sinner today. I thank you for your son Jesus Christ my Christmas gift for the salvation of my sins. I accept him as my Lord and saviour. I give you my heart today, and invite Jesus to lead my life. Amen.

Where is the best place to spend Christmas Day? In a Pub or Club? At Beer parlour or Hotel? At a beach or tourist attraction? With Santa Claus, the famed Father Christmas at his grotto?

Is Christmas day best spend visiting friends and relatives or holidaying? Should we spend Christmas day at Discos or Partying? Or should we spend Christmas day indoors resting, reading, sleeping, winning or dinning, or watching films and movies.

Christmas is the birthday of Jesus and the day is best spent in the presence of the celebrant.

Christmas day is a time for sober reflection on the ministry of Jesus Christ, a day for deep meditation of the teachings of the messiah and a day for rededication and recommitment of our lives to him.

The day is therefore best spent in an environment where you can listen and hear the word of God, rejoice with other brethren, praise God for the birth of Jesus and make new vows to God. The Church, which is the sanctuary of God is the best place to spend Christmas day.

The heart of David as revealed in the Psalms quoted above is always longing for the courts of God. In the same way, we must be excited to always be in the presence of God.

David also shows there is a blessing in dwelling in the house of God, praising and worshipping him. Do you wish to receive a blessing this Christmas, then ensure you are in the presence of God on Christmas day.

David also preferred to spend all his life time in the house of God rather than in the tents of wickedness.

If you still visit Pubs, Night clubs, brothels, and worldly parties which are fertile grounds for various sins such as illicit sex, drugs, drunkenness, murder, and profane conversations, then you are dwelling in ‘the tents of wickedness’.

Jesus is the chief and only celebrant on Christmas day. Visit a Church and wish him a happy birthday. He is still alive and plans to shower gifts on you as you come visiting. Jesus is the authentic Father Christmas. Make sure you spend Christmas day with him and you will be blessed indeed.

Prayers.

1. I refuse to spend Christmas day in the tent of the wicked, in Jesus name
2. My legs shall not take me to the path of destruction on Christmas day, in Jesus name.
3. I abort every plan of the devil to take me away from the presence of God on Christmas day, in Jesus name.

PRAYERS FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH PART 1

John 3:30. For all believers who desire meaningful spiritual growth in their walk with God. There is no height you cannot attain in the spirit if only you are ready to take the bull by the horn; do away with every form of hindrance and follow the principles of spiritual growth laid down in God's word. Hebrews 5:12: "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk and not of strong meat." Jesus expects each believer to grow to the level where he can teach others. In many of the Epistles, the believer is encouraged to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 3:18). When a believer refuses to grow, he remains a spiritual babe who is unskillful in the WORD. Such baby Christians need milk and not strong meat. When we as believers, begin to apply the truth we know in our lives, we will begin to grow and our knowledge of Christ will also increase. Paul encourages the believer to be "rooted and built up in Him" (Col. 2:7). As believers, we draw our nutrients from Him, i.e. Jesus Christ. As you pray these prayer points for spiritual growth, the Holy Spirit will draw you into a deeper and fulfilling relationship with Christ.

26. The Bible says because I believe and receive Jesus Christ, power has been given to me to become a son of God, and I am empowered to trample upon serpents and scorpions and all the powers of the enemy.
27. I am empowered to use the name of Jesus to cast out demons and heal the sick.
28. I am empowered to bind, to loose and to decree things and the Bible says wherever my voice is heard no one can ask me why.
29. I do these things for my voice is the voice of a king that is full of authority.
30. I am commanded and empowered by my God to subdue and to exercise dominion. For I am made a little lower than the angels and God has crowned me with glory and honour and has also made me to have dominion over all the works of His hands.
31. The devil that was against my authority as a God's representative on earth has been destroyed by Christ and once again; the keys of the kingdom of heaven are given to me and because I am a member of the body of Christ, which is the Church, the gates of hell cannot prevail against me.
32. I am a branch in the vine; Jesus Christ is the true vine because I abide in Him.
33. I am full of the fruit of the Spirit.
34. I am full of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

54. I begin to operate at the head and not the tail. I begin to be a true worshiper of Jehovah El shaddai and I begin from now to continually praise Him and confess positively.

I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVETH ! ! !

When you face a Job-like situation and you desire that God should manifest His power. The trials, temptations and adversities of Job and his ultimate triumph and the restoration of all his losses, establishes the fact that the great Redeemer lives. This is sufficient to allay any fear you may have concerning any bitter experience you are undergoing at present.Job 19:25: "For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:" Our redeemer is God or the Messiah. The word redeem means to buy back. The laws of the redemption of property are recorded in Leviticus 25. Property can be returned to the owner or his next of kin at any time or in the Year of Jubilee.
Jesus is our Redeemer. He is the 'Firstborn of every creature' (Col. 1:15). He is our Big Brother and He has come to redeem us from the clutches of satan, sin, sickness, death and poverty (Gal. 3:13). By His death on the cross, He purchased us with His precious blood so that we can be His own (1 Peter 1:18,19).
Jesus is alive, making intercession for the saints. As our Redeemer He:

• teaches us how to profit, i.e. gives us divine prosperity and increase (Isaiah 48:17)
• teaches us the way we should go, i.e. gives us divine direction (Isaiah 48:1).
• gives us divine security (Psalm 78:35)
• helps us, i.e. divine assistance (Isaiah 41:14)
• blots out our sins, i.e. divine forgiveness (Isaiah 44:22)
• chooses us for greatness, i.e. divine election (Isaiah 49:7)
• shows us mercy, i.e. divine favour (Isaiah 54:8)
• transfers the wealth of the gentiles to you, i.e. divine elevation (Isa. 60:16)
• pleads your cause (Jer. 50:34)
• redeems our lives from destruction, i.e. divine deliverance (Psalm 103:4).
